Back when coL was competing with the best teams in the world he was also playing against tons of American teams that had the ability to push any top European team to the brink. So coL was always going into competitions more then adequitly prepared.
Right now the only teams that have been able to compete with the European teams are EG and x3o (GG now) and even then it would be hard for x3o to use practice against EG to get ready because EG's play style is no where near anything that of the Euro style.
So yes... they have accomplished a lot less then coL but at the same time have not been able to play the teams day in and day out that coL was able to play.
#4 what are you talking about....I'm sure when coL and 3D were around, the players in x3o and EG were playing cs too....They had plenty of "practice," but as we all know coL and 3D put these teams in their place....just deal with it coL/3D/Pandemic/JMC >>>>>>> current EG and x3o.

There is a difference between teams that are ABLE to and teams that CAN. Anyone of those teams were able to beat any European team but because of their lack of consistency they were never able to get on 3d's or coL's level where they were being predicted to place top3 at every event.
Those are just some of the teams from the past... now tell me what teams can beat Euro teams today.
You realize patyo was on team die and united 5 (teams that could compete with the likes of 3d and coL). Oh and Ben Hui was on some decent teams as well. The fact of the matter is teams like EG and GG were not around really when these other teams were... they were just starting or not formed yet.

#6 wins. The CALp caliber team took the place of the american elite, they are by no means better. Do you think if col/3d/jmc stuck with 1.6 they wouldnt be representing america at all of these international tournaments?

agree with number #4, very ignorant of him to say that.. because GG and x3o are the only USA teams that are competing at the international scene.. even though they aren't winning those tournaments at least there representing that U.S still can go to International scene and play Toe to Toe for the majority of the tournament..
-After this I'm expecting coL/3D to finally return to the 1.6 international scene and finally dominate the world rankings as they use.. It's a long road. but we'll get there :D
BGS, you do realize that patyo didn't move to source so he settled with whatever was left in the U.S. CS 1.6 scene right (and that was, the top cal p and lower cal i teams)? Many "top" players back in the day did the same, they simply have no choice. Mayeb it's just me but I've never heard of "n0thing" or "evolution" until those teams became the top teams.
